How are you ! Everyone

Due to the CA Federal Judge order, USCIS has resumed accepting DACA renewal request.
I noticed a lot of people who expire in the late 2019 filed renewal recently . Mine expires in Sept 2019.

Has anyone of you got approved ?

I am still deciding whether I should file renewal or not? If approved, it will just give me couple more months. On the other hand, I have been hoping a legislative solution will be passed for us before March 5th. Also since I won't expire until Sept 2019, will USCIS reject my renewal request due to the fact that I still have 1 year and 8 month left ?

Please share your opinion ! If you have similar expiration date as mine, please let me know if your renewal has been accepted, rejected or approved ?

Thanks very much !

I'll wait until summer to renew if DACA is still around.

From what i've seen it doesn't appear they are rejecting any due to having too much time left on EAD.
I'm not late 2019, I expire in Feb but everything so far has been the same as the other times. Regular time processing my acceptance letters and now my biometrics appointment. I'm not gonna walk-in like i did the other times i'll just wait for my regular scheduled time.

Might be a little early to have people approved yet unless their applications was submitted last year before the program was stopped.

My concern would be that if you applied under the current judicial "extension" that they can come back and cancel your status. Essentially a higher court could say that the lower court judge had no authority to impose a stay on the cancellation of the executive order. The higher court could then rule that permits/status granted due to the stay on the EO are invalid.

There's precedent for this - a few years ago USCIS was forced to recall people's 3 year permits because they were granted improperly.

It's a pretty big gamble :/

If this does happen, I would think that you would revert back to your old expiration date prior to the 2018 renewal.

Also, not everyone had to return the 3 year permit. Only those that got issued after a certain date. The sooner you get your renewal approved, the better.

Have you thought about if USCIS will not revert you back to old expiration date prior to the 2018 renewal. Then what is going to happen ?

Doubt it but if that happens, then everyone that applied (my guess would be about 25-50% of DACA peeps) would all fall out of status immediately. I'm willing to risk 1 year to gain 2 years. I know a handful of people expiring in early to mid 2019 that have applied already.

Again, those people that had to return their 3 year permits did not lose their status; they were instead given a 2 year permit.
