White House Briefing 2/22/17

Sean Spicer was asked if the President still thinks that the DACA program is unconstitutional, as he said in the campaign. Spicer avoided the question by stating that illegal criminals are the priority. The question was repeated by the reporter to which Sean Spicer replied "I'll get back to you on that."

I just saw that too.. I'm not sure whether that's good or not. I think it's good? Because that means Trump doesn't want to admit that it ISNT unconstitutional right?

DACA is not unconstitutional.

President has discretion as to how to implement priority for deportation.

I think this a good sign. He didn't mention ending DACA and wanted to avoid the question completely. I wish the administration would just say their leaving DACA alone because obviously that's what they're doing. But I guess they don't wanna get all the hardcore republicans upset.

a non answer is a good answer regarding DACA everytime.

they are avoiding the question all the time with keeping DACA to not anger their alt-right base.*

I agree but the reporter was using candidate Trump's quote on "The Obama illegal amnesties are unconstitutional."

It is completely constitutional and I don't see it ending anytime soon.

DACA is as follows constitutional as allowing relief to disaster victims.

I don't think the reporter wanted DACA to end. He just wanted the President to look like a hypocrite for basically continuing something that he criticized heavily during the campaign. But I do wish reporters would just shut up with the DACA questions.

DACA is constitutional. The constitution is very vague in certain regards, such as the role of the judiciary branch. As we see with SCOTUS, the judicial system has become very partisan and interpretation of the constitution isn't always as concrete in some cases and sometimes relies on the bias of judges. There are hardly any impartial judges. We saw this with the 4-4 split on DAPA/EDACA
