Before Sens. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) officially unveiled a new iteration of the Dream Act on Thursday, White House officials had already indicated Trump wouldn’t sign it, McClatchy reports. Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, who has urged Congress to act on reform for Dreamers, won’t back it, either ― a spokesman said he “supports the president’s position.”

These people are all talk and now show. We are on our own.

Wait for something official from Trump. Fucktard Kelly was the same guy who said the fate of DACA rested on Sessions. A day or two later Trump contradicted Kelly saying he would be the one to decide the fate of DACA--not his subordinates.

WAIT UNTIL WE GET SOMETHING OFFICIAL FROM TRUMP. Just be aware that the title of the bill has been demonized by the GOP, and Trump may oppose it on that basis because he does not want to support something dubbed to be amnesty. If Trump does support something, it will be RACA or his own version. I know; it's stupid. But, this is politics.

Dude, fucking wait. Do not call it quits. There are several proposals floating around. The DREAM Act is likely to gain opposition BECAUSE of its name. Think about why. That name is evil to the right. It's like one of you changing your name to Osama Bin Laden. We all know that shit is not going to stick.

The Bridge Act, Enlist Act, and RACA have a higher chance of support.

So he tells congress to act, a bill gets introduced and then says he won't support it. He's been involved in every immigration enforcement bill, yet he wasn't aware about the bills that were introduced in congress to protect dreamers. I don't want to judge him to quickly since he too could have ended DACA a long time ago, so hopefully he steps up his efforts on protecting us.

He just held a meeting with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and stated (correctly) that we need a legislative solution. This is it.

If you read carefully Kelly will not oppose Trump's position on this bill (be it in favor or against). The spokesman is basing this on McClatchy report that Trump opposes it. I always knew Kelly was a 'yes man'.

Anyway let's wait to hear from Trump.

Offer a bill that literally takes DACA and turns it into a recognized legal status. >_> That's what Kelly has been asking for.

Don't try the "relief for all or nothing" tactic right now because we may lose DACA in the process.

I agree with you on this. Frustrating and fucking incoherent on behalf of Kelly. But, I'd like to think that Kelly opposes it because the bill is called . . . the evil of evils (according to the GOP): The DREAM Act.
