Democrats can pass the DreamAct by just attaching it to the budget. Schumer and Pelosi clearly indicated DreamAct for a budget extension. The votes are there and the Repubs KNOW it.

Pretty much...Republicans can play all the political games they want but when it comes Dec. they will have to legalize us or shut down the government and look incompetent.

Exactly, inaction on the budget because of DREAMERS won't look good on Republicans.

Wouldn't the people blame the dems for a goverment shutdown? Forcing republicans not to vote for the dream act that's attached to the budget might backfire on us.

Republicans control the House and Senate. If they can't find ways to work and compromise with Democrats to get it passed and a government shutdown happens, they will look completely incompetent... more than they already do considering they've done NOTHING and Trump is getting desperate to have at least one positive victory.

All of this negative press towards Trump at this time is only going to make him thirsty to sign anything that will send praises his way. He knows the better part of the country is on our side.

I still feel positive. I feel like a lot of them will want to get a deal before December because they want to avoid a clash with the budget bill. Plus, Durbin understands about making a deal rather than a clean bill....

It's a game of chicken but the party that will suffer the most from a shutdown is republican. Republican have accomplished nothing since they took majority and the presidency. If they keep it up, they will lose more seats in 2018 and lose the majority in 2020. We could see another super majority democratic party in 2020.
