Nearly 60 percent of Texans want to extend Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, which protects some 124,000 Texans who arrived as children and remained in the country illegally, from deportation, according to results of the University of Texas/Texas Tribune poll released Monday.

Although I do love the optimism. Polls can be a little misleading sometimes. 1,200 registered Texas voters out of 15 million voted in this poll. Doesn't really say much.

I don’t think you understand polls.

Pollsters don't even understand polls. See 2016 election results.

the national polls were right and consistent, it was the state by state polls that were wrong.

it happens...

when they draw your blood for blood tests to see if something is wrong with u, they dont draw the entire blood out of your body right? they only take a small sample size to predict and determine if something is wrong with you.

thats how polling works... sample errors happen, margin of errors happen. it is what it is.

but for the most part, its pretty consistent.

i lived there a while and without being sjw-ish all i can say is that it has an odd amount of people that are oddly sympathetic to mexicans. but the ones that are pretty prejudiced don't make it obvious, it's a lot more subtle than somewhere like alabama.
