Jones supports DACA, says it’s time for GOP opponent Roy Moore to ‘move on’

Despite saying comprehensive immigration reform is complicated, Jones said he supports the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which Trump is ending in March, and that he “hopes to see it extended.”

Jones said he’s already made clear that he opposes building a wall because “I don’t think that’s an expense taxpayers should have to incur.”

However, he declined to say whether he’d vote to fund the wall in exchange for extending DACA protections.

“Let’s see how that shakes out,” he said. “It’s hard to talk in hypotheticals. … I’ll leave all of the options on the table.”

They have to END chain migration before they do ANYTHING with DACA or this country will turn into MEXICO. Each one of those DACAs could potentially bring 20-30 relatives, each of those can bring relatives. It is the most HORRIBLE thing this country has ever done! DO MERIT BASED!

This is why people vote republican. They rather lose their healthcare and be poor than deal with being out of the majority.

See, this is just bullshit. 30 relatives? Who here honestly has even 5 relatives THAT WOULD EVEN QUALIFY UNDER THE FAMILY SYSTEM?

These people are crazy and there is no reasoning with them. First of all, the relatives that I have here are all USC/PRs and the only reason why my mother doesn't have her GC is because the wait is so damn long our petitioner died!

I have maybe 7? 5 of which are abroad and I'm no contact with. So two for all intents and purposes. You want to be anal about it one of them has a sibling who has two adult sons so really 4 altogether. Then if you want to be anal about it it would be those two and their families (if any), but that point I think I'd be in my late 50s.

I could make more children in 30 years than that and I only need help of one person and neither of us has to be citizens.

The truth to the matter is that anyone that wants to bring a relative into US usually just hooks them up with a job, EB-3 isn't backlogged at all. They just maintain some kind of pro-forma priority date a few months back to account for schedule A occupations (where the PERM requirement is essentially waived and you could essentially file I-140 and I-485 out of the blue).
