Flake said he and other lawmakers have worked with White House chief of staff John Kelly and other administration officials. Kelly outlined a list of White House priorities at a meeting on Tuesday and pledged to present a detailed list by Friday of border security and other policy changes it wants as part of a broader deal on the immigrants, Flake said.

We will see if democrats agree with all those border security priorities.

I don’t think border security is the issue. Talks will likely derail when Republicans demand “other policy changes”.

AKA the Cotton/Perdue/Miller Make-Amerikkka-White-Again wish list.

Whether I agree or disagree with these policies is irrelevant. The point I’m making is that the left will not be on board for these changes. In a CIR bill I’m sure there would be much less opposition from Democrats but for a DACA bill no way. I hope I’m wrong.

DURBIN says Senate #DACA negotiators—who are meeting almost daily now—are not close to a deal: “We’ve got a long way to go and we’re running out of time.” He expects the White House to send a list of policy demands on FRIDAY.

So one day thy say they’re close and then the opposite..

The Democrats are trying to play us. They will go on to say that “they fought for us” but when it all fails they will just place blame on the GOP while later asking for our votes and donations. It’s time for us to wake up and hold them accountable. It’s now or never.

NEW McConnell statement: "If negotiators reach an agreement on (immigration) by the end of January, I will bring it to the Senate floor for a free-standing vote. "
