The least Democrats and Republicans can do is unite to pass some measure that gives Dreamers the right to stay (and work or study) for another year or two, in hopes that lawmakers can work out some long-term compromise down the road. Sadly, that seems to be the most that Congress is capable of doing.

I came cross another article that stated Trump might even extend the deadline again and allow another renewal window.

With so much uncertainty and no answers, it would be the right thing to let us renew at least one more time for those who didn’t get the chance to.

This isn't news. It's a bunch of sentences strung together by a bunch of conservative mental midgets and it isn't supposed to be here. Close this thread.

No. Path to citizenship or bust. If I graduate in May with no permanent solution passed and signed, then it will be resoundingly clear that the United States has absolutely no interest in my life. I will leave and I will burn my current credit providers so bad as financial retaliation.

Human rights will be dead in the United States.

Although I understand how you feel and respect your decision of wanting to leave the country I’m sure there is still a lot of people with hope here that would prefer the BRIDGE act over nothing for now until everything gets settled.

The Bridge Act is unacceptable. I'd rather have the US own the fact that they hate our guts. Waiting things out will drive me even more insane than I currently am.

Sometimes uncertainty can be overwhelming so for sure I don’t blame you for making that choice. Personally I still have some hope that things will work out.

yeah i aint bout that retaliation life. lol

no matter what happens, this country made me and gave me my college degrees and work exp and i will be forever grateful for it. in any other country, my story aint happening. i would be deported on the spot.

this country taught me that if i can make it here without documentation, i can make it anywhere.

if u do what u plan to do, nothing will really happen. we are just spokes on the wheel. America will continue with or without us here. and there will be another generation of Dreamers that will take our cause.
