https://www.vox.com/2018/5/29/174060...house-petition

Quote:
More and more members of Congress are signing on to a discharge petition, which would force votes on several legislative fixes in the House for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program protecting many young undocumented immigrants. The Trump administration decided to fully sunset DACA in March, though the fate of the program has been held up in courts.

As of Tuesday, May 29, the petition officially had 213 signatories, including more than 20 Republicans. It needs 218 members to sign on to force action on the House floor, which would likely happen by the end of June. There are still three Democratic holdouts, all of whom are objecting to the possibility of funding for Trump’s border wall.
God damn those fucking Democrats in Texas. Go fuck yourself. Texas mother fuckers. We really just need two more Republicans if those three mf would say yes. Seriously, who gives a fuck about giving Trump a magnificent wall? Why not!? Give him 50B so he can do whatever the fuck he wants, man. It's either us or nobody.

Blaming Democrats? Hey, look, it's 3 more holding out. The number would be much narrower if we have all D signed the petition. Speak of math. If they truly care about us, they would sign up. They care about their constituents who happen to be very Hispanic centric, who happen to want fewer enforcement along the border because you-know-why reason. Sorry for being harsh, but c'mon.

If only 2 Democrat votes were required they would sign on. Why don’t yall pressure the GOP to use at least 10% of their caucus to sign on. 25 is an abysmal number really

The point isn't about how many Republicans. Like I said, if Democrats are really fighting for us, they should do it, without playing politics. "Oh look we got 25 Republicans, we need two more votes from y'all please do it" is playing politics.

Sure we have always been a political card.

98% of the House Democrats signed it and you're going to say they are not really fighting for us? This is a discharge petition started by Republicans. They haven't showed up...

I dunno, its starting to look like those 5 wont appear. I knew this effort was fucked before it even began. Especially dead now that it's been torpedoed with TPS.

LOL 3 democrats hold out, and 228 Republicans hold out but democrats are the problem. That's the type of logic that got trump elected in the first place. LOL
