Political analyst Bill Schneider said on Monday that the issue of paving a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, or young immigrants brought to the country illegally as children, could be a major element in negotiations between Republicans and Democrats to reopen parts of the federal government.
Quote:
The Democrats are very eager to legitimize the Dreamer's standing in the United States, and that could enter this deal as something Democrats may be willing to accept along with something that is called the wall. It could have lots of components," he continued.
Quote:
"I think a deal where there's at least temporary working permits for Dreamers for several years, that kind of a relationship if you're not going to solve the Dreamer problem for us, some amount of money for border security is an easy deal to make," Yarmuth said

I think whether the Supreme Court take the DACA case will play big into this decision.

Giving us GCs means 4 more years of Trump. Pick your choice, and then Dems will pick theirs.

Something even better could be congress invoking the 25th.

I would rather have a GC and Trump reelected than no GC and a dem president elected.

I'm tired of the struggle.

Why getting us GCs means 4 more years of Trump?

Ignore him. Regardless of what happens trump is not winning re-election. He comes with too much drama and instability.

Yeah who cares about Trump. Every President is the same. Some good stuff passed, some bad stuff passed, mostly nothing done.

If I had to choose between the two options.

Because that would mean Dems caved in to Trump's wall demand.
