Daca recipient slams democrats, says they threw ‘dreamers’ under the bus

DACA recipient Hilario Yanez invited The Daily Caller to shadow him as he walked around the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. to meet with elected officials. He wants more discussion on the future of those who have DACA status.

Yanez, who is known for being a pro-Trump, pro-wall Dreamer, says he had a hard time setting up appointments with Democrats during the border budget negotiation process. But he was able to get a few Republican congressmen to hear him out, including Rep. Sean Duffy of Wisconsin, who allowed the Caller to sit in for the meeting.

“Democrats threw us under the bus and they’re using us as a 2020 issue and that’s very disappointing,” said Yanez.

Yanez says he’s not happy with the way Democrats handled the border wall negotiations; he says it shows Democratic politicians aren’t serious about helping “Dreamers.”

It's not easy to get meetings with folks on the hill... been there done that. Now if you go with the backing of big companies, congress members definitely sit down with you. He should have gotten Accenture and some of the Big 4 to create some sort of coalition.

Great point. The whole negotiation was to kill the 5.7B wall funding. that was all. That was what UWD was after. Clean dream act, zero win for Trump. But guess what, Trump can spin his base anyway. Whatever.

The point is Democrats did not leverage their full power to get a DA/DACA passed. No one can deny that. They are chicken. They keep using "dreams can't take the whole stage" excuse. Fuck that.

I think that was entry point to negotiate. Dems never counter offered after many of the white house staff said they where waiting on the offer
