Kushner’s immigration plan doesn’t even mention DACA

President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, has failed to impress members of his own party with his lackluster immigration plan.

According to The Washington Post, Kushner was unable to answer basic questions from Republican senators in attendance at his Tuesday meeting, leaving senior adviser Stephen Miller to guide most of the conversation.

“He’s in his own little world,” one individual familiar with the discussion in the meeting anonymously told the Post. “He didn’t give many details about what was in [his plan]. … And there were a number of instances where people had to step in and answer questions because he couldn’t.”

Perhaps most shocking, Kushner’s immigration plan makes no mention of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a program that Trump unilaterally ended in late 2017 and that has been hanging on by a thread thanks to a court injunction.

Great WaPo story on the readout from Kushner briefing with senators yesterday is a reminder that in meetings with tech and business leaders, he has called DACA a key component of the proposal, per ppl briefed on the discussions. But didn't seem to with senators.

If people have to step in with your own damn immigration bill, it is clear you didn't write it and some cuck is the ghostwriter of the bill.

It is probably why the bill is so terrible, flimsy, and doesn't take a tough stance on illegal immigration, while not rewarding those who make our country strong and powerful like the DACA community.

Go ahead and add TPS path to citizenship to the bill, finish sinking it.

That's really the point for democrats to shove it in as a raider into the bill in the house. Amending it out in the senate would be hard.

It doesnt matter democrats wont attach daca to it again.
