A few weeks ago i tried thc for the first time. It was the liquid (tincture). I took it mainly for anxiety. Ive been on tramadol for many years and I had no idea that I was not suppose to take it when taking tramadol because I guess its a controlled substance. Now my Dr. Said he can no longer prescribe it because I tested positive for thc. I live in CA where weed is legal for recreational purposes so I didn't think it would be an issue and bought the tincture at a dispensary.

Anyone have similar experience... ? Is there something similar tramadol that's not controlled? I used to take Naproxen 500mg but I'm not sure if its controlled or not. I have Ankylosing Spondylitys. Aren't Doctors suppose to ween you off a narcotic if you've been on it for so many years!??

DamLeon, I'd say lay off the opioid substitutes but your condition seems severe. I'd try a different doc. but they may be bound by legislation. Cutting you off cold turkey seems a bit off the norm. Doc. may think you're abusing your meds if using recreational drugs.

He's definitely abusing the meds though, and the Dr made the right call.

I'm done with tramadol. I only tried thc for my severe anxiety. I used to be on Prozac and at one point Xanax as well. Big pharma and the DEA would rather me be on those pills than to try something natural
