WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) tells Latino Rebels that immigration reform is “too big” to fit into the massive social spending bill currently being negotiated by Congressional Democrats on Capitol Hill.

“I don’t think it’s going to be in there. I really don’t,” Manchin told Latino Rebels after leaving a Senate vote on Monday afternoon. “I think it’s too big for that.”

Asked if he agrees with Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough’s recent pair of political statements (here and here) against including immigration reform in the budget deal, Manchin said he’s “totally committed to trying to help” immigrants, but that he is unwilling to “bust the Byrd Rule.”

I knew it! I'm not surprised at all!!! These politicians are all the same! They were all looking for a way out! The Parliamentarian is just a foil.

Manchin & Sinema r DINOs fasho but in the end it's Schumer who refused to jam DACA-Only solution into the budget recon bill.
