If your partner doesn’t understand your DACA situation, then maybe that person isn’t right for you. I always think the best way to go is to keep your DACA status private, unless you’re looking into getting married together. Other than that, your partner doesn’t need to know.

They want to go on a trip out of the country and I have to explain to them why I can’t go

I’m on the same boat. But my partner understands. I think if your partner doesn’t and it’s giving you a hard time about it, they aren’t worth your time bro, you deserve better.
