I been reading in this forum and I found out that people who lost their old passport and their I-94 think that they will never be able to a Green Card through marriage without leaving the US and getting a 10 years ban.
That's not true, they can file for a replacement for the I-94 (the immigration authorities keep all the information on all the people that entered the US legally) and then it's very simple to get married and get a Green Card, without leaving the US and getting a ban.

It's easy to file for an I-94 replacement, it costs alittle but worths it. There's no need to have the old passport, the I-94 replacement and a blank passport is enough.

And on the new passport there's always the old passport number so it's good.

It's important for people who entered with inspection to know.

So keep it because then you'll have to pay $320 for a replacement.
This is the I-102 form if someone is intersted.

I lost my passport with the original I-94

If I order the replacement I-94, would they track me down?!

They won't track you down.. just get a new passport and file for a I-94 replacement.
