Lets please remember all are hardships that we have suffered, all the closed doors that have been slammed in our faces, how it feels to have our lives(dreams) in the hands of other people, how we felt when we were looked down upon, or bigoted because of our status and all the inflammatory things that people have called us or said about us. I hope that all of us keep these things in mind and we never change or criminalize people after we get legal or become citizens. With that being said I found this link on CNN.

Here is the thing, I'm white and undocumented (and sexy)... I like my cousin had the opportunity to come here through asylum. My cousin also came through asylum, BUT she won her case when she was 10 yrs old, I did not; I am now 10 yrs later trying to fight in the courts in order to succeed (0 chances to win). My cousin told me to go back because the "law is the law".. she didn't suffer and she forgot where she came from and how she came here (fraud)... those Mexican-Americans also forgot, most people do forget. If I do get my papers or not; I will make it my moral duty as a person to not forget.

I got screwed by my own kind, Latinos, Blacks. Asians, etc. I realized later that I didn't get screwed by a specific race, but by a specific type of person. My own best friend lives in Arizona and supports this law. HE came here with Lottery, now he dropped out of school and can't even hold a part time job; all he wants to do is party and play beer pong.

I will admit that whites do have more ways to come here legally. So; I'm tired of hearing people say "do it legally"...

I am a human first before I am anything else. I realize that people unite when they have a common problem/ enemy. Patriotism is a big b/s... the benjamins are patriotic, not the banner of the flag. We unite when they towers fall and we are on eachother's throat when we decide whose gonna get health care or not.

All men are NOT created equal, my job is to make sure that a crippled, a gay, a black, a sick; to enjoy their lives too.. there's only 1 f'king life to live. We worry about how much memory our ipods got; when there's kids that wonder if there will be food tomorrow, all why? b/c they happen to be born less fortunate?...

I bet those Mexican-Americans born here do support illegal allien's kids born here to be deported... well; they already got inside the door; so now its time to slam it on the people behind you...

hmmm , like that dumb bitch Michelle Malkin whose parents overstayed their student visas and gave birth to baby Malkin when they were in the states; shes an anchor baby; so why hasn't fox brought that up?

legal or illegal is JUST a process of entering the door, but it says nun about what will u do and how u will act once u are inside... all my legal people i know abuse the system, so do Americans, so does everyone... so please give me a break.

This is true because white races often comes from developed countries with very lenient migration policy. Asians and Latinos however had to go thru a tougher process.

ja we collect welfare? only the legal immigrants can collect welfare. Aside from that it's not our fault that some companies want people to speak English and Spanish, the only reason why they do that is because they know Latinos also bring the dollars. People are just stupid. My mom can collect Welfare for my brother if she wanted to but not once has she done so or even applied to do so. I have a White friend who just signs up for college so that she can get the 3-5 grand of financial aid money, she goes for like 1 month then she drops the classes and keeps the money but hey that's the American way.

Long ass rant in response to your post.

I see racism and illegal immigration as completely separate issues, the problem is that it just so happened that the there is a country with a really crappy government bordering the South of the U.S. so the majority of illegal immigrants are Mexicans as I am.

I think American citizens have the right to express their opinions about illegal immigration because it is their country in the first place, I don't care what their ethnic background is. They have the right to criticize their immigration system and they have the right to make changes to it. Just because America created a land of opportunity (even if it was at the expense of other nations), it doesn't mean that anyone should break the laws and sneak in. Things got out of hand because they couldn't enforce appropriate border security measures (maybe because corporations saw the benefits of keeping it that way), now they have to fix it and deal with the millions of people and all of a sudden some of the measures seem racist because they are looking for a way to get rid of us who in the most part have brown skin tones.

Whatever final decision the politicians make I will accept because although I could make a responsible, contributing, and capable citizen of this country there are millions of people out there waiting for a green card who could easily take my place. Don't get me wrong, a green card right now would solve all if not the majority of my problems but I am illegally living in this nation therefore I am aware that I am breaking the law by exploiting a system that is broken as I was also aware of what my parents were doing when we moved here. This isn't a morality issue, it's just about being honest and accepting the position I am in. I don't feel self-entitled to become a legal resident of this nation just because I know how to live and communicate like the average citizen, hell, anyone who lived in another nation for a long time under a work or student VISA could make that place feel like home. Whatever the outcome of any decision that could benefit me I see it more as an opportunity rather than a right.

I do feel sorry for those who grew here not knowing about their legal status until they found about the implications and how it would affect their lives, those are the ones who were deceived and won't blame it on their parents because they feel it would be morally incorrect. Pop and Mom thought the situation would be fixed by itself if they stayed here for a long time, that feeling of self-entitlement is what pisses me off the most, thinking that because they've worked for someone in this country or having exploited a broken system gives them the right to stay here, that's just fucked up. Those kids, victims of their parents' actions however morally you deem them are the ones who deserve the rights to be here.

There are racists and bigots in this country but that's not the issue here, again, the citizens of this country have all the rights to voice their opinions regarding these issues and criticize their government for not enforcing the laws properly. I would feel disgusted at my government if I had a decent education, lived in a decent neighborhood, and then saw that over the years my environment was turning into a non-English speaking shithole with more new people coming in throughout the years who never seem to adapt to my culture and are displacing the natives with their terrible habits.

I am sick of Calderon's and Mexico's ranting about what's taking place in Arizona and how their nationals should be treated, but then what is that idiot and his cabinet doing to prevent the citizens from fleeing a country that has been completely raped?

Immigration is a natural phenomenon, blah, blah, respect the god damned laws and come in here like the majority of people from the rest of the world do. I am sure that if Earth looked like pangea and USA still were the land of opportunity it would quickly turn into a third world nation because everyone would be trying to get in.

Even if an immigration reform does not take place I will always keep supporting the DreamAct regardless of whether it benefits me or not because I feel that those of you who basically grew up have been loyal to this nation, have no other home, and speak English better than whatever language your parents speak. I on the other hand think in Spanish, pretty much don't give a fuck of whether I am forced to leave this country or not I guess that's what happens when you are brought here at a later age, I am leaching off the state in the form of financial aid, and I am just waiting for that little paper to fall in my hands. I essentially think just like majority of the illegal adults who obviously are only thinking of benefiting themselves and their families without thinking much about what being American is. I am definitely not a patriot, not of Mexico, not of this country, I don't believe in such things. I just want to survive and move forward with my life.

I am sorry if I enraged anyone, if you think I should GTFO that's understandable, meanwhile I'll just keep enjoying my klondike bar.
