The details of the agreement are still murky — it’s really just an agreement to eventually come to an agreement — but proposals include “new technology, drones, air support, [and] sensor equipment” along the southern border. Democrats have made it clear they won’t give Trump his wall in exchange for DACA, but Pelosi and Schumer may have just given him something better.

Just a recap ....

Why not just annex every country down to Costa Rica, and then build a wall between Costa Rica and Panama? Hear me out... instead of a 1,989 mile border, it'd be down to only 205 miles. Roughly 10%. Now let's say the cost to build the current wall is $40 billion dollars, we could say this new wall would be much less, maybe 5 billion. Now half the cost of the wall is typically attribute to labor, but now that all of Central America is annexed, we will have access to much cheaper labor, probably half the price (2.5/2 = 1.25). So we would build this wall for 3.75 billion. So the repeal of DACA is going to cost employers roughly 6.8 billion dollars in turnover. We strike a deal with all corporations that currently have DACA employees: pay for a portion of the wall so you can avoid the turnover costs. Other portion is payed by Dreamers for a GC. Let's say $1500 ($500 for app, $1000 for wall). To make the math easy, let's say that 1 million people qualify for DA. That's 1 billion right there. Now the employers of DACA pay the rest (~3500).

Problem solved.

Hey sorry that you think that political satire is nonsense and does not deserve to be in the news section. I guess that's why the daily show and the Colbert report were on Comedy Central. Anyway I get that it could be distracting to some people, even if it's related to the article. Moving forward, I will not posting anything in the news section unless I explicitly mention the article, and refrain from the use of sarcasm.

Apologies to everyone for anything I said that was offensive and for detailing this thread. Let's go back to a productive discussion.
