Besides the possibility of DREAM Act being passed in December, there's still the lawsuit that could be ruled in our favor:

Quote:
“What they said was, ‘DACA itself is illegal, therefore Congress*has to act or we’re going to let it run its course,'” Ferguson said on-stage at the GeekWire Summit last week. “There’s just one problem saying DACA is illegal. No courts ever reached that decision. I mean, not one. Us lawyers care about these details.”
Quote:
“Are any of these cases easy? Of course not,” Ferguson said. “These are complicated, complicated cases. But I’m optimistic with our lawsuit or I would not have filed it.”

yup, if a DA + Border/Wall Enforcement compromise fails, DA will be attached as a rider amendment for the budget bill which is 100% passage cause they need Democrats votes for it or the government will shutdown.

That would mean that we need Democrats to attach it to the budget bill (If there is no compromise bill by then). So far I have not seen any indications that they will "definitely do that." They're just threatening and playing politics. Nancy Pelosi will have to come clean with this one eventually.

i dont think Dems are bluffing this time, lives of 800k people are on the line.

nobody is going back to the shadows bro, not gonna happen. having DACA for 5 years is a game changer compared to the Dream Act failing 7 years ago in 2010. (nothing really changed in our lives when it failed then)

lastly. these other safety net options coming out just makes me feel at ease.

In all honesty, DACA has never been challenged in court, so that says nothing about its constitutionality. In fact I'm not even sure it would survive on technical grounds, and I've never seen a ruling based on humanitarian grounds at the supreme Court.
