I'm part of a planning committe for an immigration conference that we hope to take place this October. Members of the group currently include students from Depaul University, Loyola, and Dominican, but it's open to anyone who is interested in helping.
Part of our mission is to show the human face of a variety of different issues regarding immigration. One of the ideas we had was to ask people around the country to submit to us pictures of themselves and their families to be used in different ways. We were thinking of using some of the photographs in publicity meterials like posters and pamphlets and showcase others at the conference itself.
