Hello Dreamers,

Early today President Barack Obama spoke with Piolin Sotelo on immigraion reform but most important he talked about the Dream Act.

In the show the President mentioned that the new Immigration Reform package will have much stiff requirements for those who seek to become legal in this country yet there is a plan for those who work in agriculture which will allow them to be residents while working in the agriculture field.

With regards to the Dream Act President Obama told Piolin that all immigrant students (including my self) who are working hard on our education will see the passage of the Dream Act in some way. That maybe tied in with the immigration reform or as a stand alone bill. President Obama went on to say "this children are also Americas children" as Piolin explained some of the hardships the immigrant youth must endure.

With that said this message gives us the chance to prove to congressman/woman that we care about our futures we cannot rely solemnly on President Obama we have to particapate in the Tour de Dream campaing arrange sit ins and much more. I want to thank Piolin for his efforts in promoting immigration reform but most importantly for mentoning the Dream Act which most of the time was not spoken of when the bill failed during the Bush administration. Thank you for your time if you want more info and news add me as your friend on facebook ( I am under Luis Hernandez and i have a picture of my cat in my profile) or respond to this e-mail. Thank you for your time. Blue12

OMG, finally someone asked him about the Dream Act. I like how determined he seems to be.

I didn't hear him say that in the interview posted by Dado. Is there a longer version of that interview somewhere?

Yes if you go to the KMEX website or Univision.com you will see a link titled "La Nueva101.9" click on it and in much more detail they talk about the immigration reform package and how it's the new coalition of George Lopez, Oscar de la Hoya, Jorge Ramos and Piolin Sotelo are trying to rally support for immigration reform much like Rush, Hannity, Beck, and Lou Dobbs among others are doing the contrary.

Thank you for your time and pass on the word of this coalition of talented Latinos that are standing up for those who live in the shadows

I too did not hear President Obama explicitly state, "With regards to the Dream Act President Obama told Piolin that all immigrant students (including my self) who are working hard on our education will see the passage of the Dream Act in some way."

Clarification would be GREATLY appreciated.
