"Illegal immigrants would not be allowed to access the exchange that is set up," Gibbs said. Verification requirements are "something we'd work out with Congress," he said.

Currently illegal immigrants are barred from government-funded care except in certain emergency cases, but many buy private insurance and there's nothing to prevent them from doing that. That would change under the White House's proposal, which is certain to alarm some on the left.

They are having so much problem now on a health care bill on whether or not illegals are going to get covered, what's going to happen when immigration reform comes up. This health care reform is just making CIR even harder to pass, cause when it's time to pass immigration reform the right is going to say that illegals are going to benefit from Obama Care if immigration reform passes. Just another reason not to do anything...

People without health insurance will be fined. What will happen to illegal immigrant? Will doctor and nursers become ICE?

I like how they forget that illegal immigrants are human that get sick and needs medical attention too. These people and their nasty logic... It's not like the quality of health care will go down and turn into something like the island of Dr. Moreau if coverage is provided to us... Besides, legalize us so we can get in the system and we'll have this problem solved.

Talk about interfering with the market. Barring undocumented immigrants from accessing government insurance is fine, but to bar them from purchasing private health insurance, that's going too far. This better be some extraordinary quid pro quo for CIR.

I must say this is ridiculous. What if all private companies were to join the exchange? So illegal immigrants could not buy health insurance? Wow. It should be fun to see what happens if immigration reform doesn't pass and illegal immigrants can't buy health insurance.

like i always said if not by 2012 an amnesty or dream act has passed it never will so ladies and gents don't keep your hopes up.
the government = bullshitters and liars and provides false hope

I've learned to accept it, the system been broken for years it take some one from Philippine 19 fucking years this is ridiculous your mother or father files for you it takes years when you over 21 enforcing is going to make the illegal immigrant situation worst, i once read that a hospital call ICE on a guy because he had no papers and he was deported, there is no hope for any 1 if they don't have their papers, this shit is crazy, America has failed to realize that immigrants built America.
i actually thought obama would ease things up for illegal immigrants and people who over stayed their visas but wow the administration is doing the complete opposite.

CIR AND DREAM ACT are going to be way worst then the health care reform when it is debated.
America is nuts, and will always be.

^^^It's been tough seeing government stiffen it's enforcement, but it seems like they're doing it to get some votes together for CIR.

Right now, it's kind of like a huge game of hide and seek: Everyone who gets found before CIR is Passed loses out. When, or more like IF CIR passes, they want a small a number as possible to be legalized and then, that's it, illegal immigration is done for sure. They'll make it impossible to survive here without legality. E.g. Cant find work because of checks, No insurance allowed, etc.

Unless they never pass it, and we end up getting diluted over a long period of time by laws and job checks.

nonetheless, i do agree, it's going to be one HELL of a FIGHT for CIR when it appears.

Dude, I feel you pain, seriously i do.
You might not be a citizen of this here nation yet, and all our dreams are to become just that, given the justification we've lived here and grown up here most/all of our lives.
All im gonna say is, if it comes to it, (and i say that with a big IF), gettin f****d should NOT be an option for you.
You're still a citizen of another country. The fear of being somewhere youve never lived or been to in a long while is real, yes, but you can drive there, you can work there, without the fear of being locked up or thrown on a plane flying 10,000 miles away.
Think if DA or CIR doesnt pass, we'll be f****d?
Well, I'm not bending over.
