"There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year," McCain said during an interview Monday on an Arizona radio affiliate. "They have poisoned the well in what they've done and how they've done it."

"There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year…???? Like this is a change? There's been no GOP cooperation since Obama was elected."

This is getting completely ridiculous in my opinion. A bunch of guys, that are suppose to represent the will of the people, are basically stonewalling the rest of the government because they do not like the Democrats' tactics. It's laughable, the last thing any USC wants is the lack of action on the side of the government based on some ridiculous made-up principles.

This is laughable. Since when were the Republicans cooperating about anything? Their whole tactic right now is opposition to anything the Democrats are doing, even when it goes against their ideals. Witness how they recently have claimed the mantle of defending Medicare, a GOVERNMENT-RUN health care program.

This is a change, Republicans were cooperating in the past. The jobs bill had 13 Republicans and without them it wouldn't have gone anywhere in the Senate. To hear Senator Mccain make a statement like this really brings down the hope we were all given by the President. Let's not forget he hasn't been the only republican Senator to come out and say this.

We can always rely on Sam Brownback for support on DREAM, only down side is that he's leaving congress this year to run for Governor of Kansas .

i feel like as if we're being use just for them to get a seat in the White House....
Democrats and Republicans alike..... they use the "I AM FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM"
in their campaign to get votes... they keep making that promise over and over and over again
and yesterday's CIR march didnt get any coverage.. and i understand that its about
the HEALTH CARE REFORM.. but having to do it on the same exact date as the march
its EFF'd UP!! i dont know about you guys but i think we've been played.....

Welcome to America, where politicians play the best political game in the world.

You guys better hope the democrats don't push for CIR right after this health care bill. IF they do CIR will simply fail, because democrats don't want to look like the guys who are just ramming bills through, while the "other side" doesn't get a saying. Think of how the conservative people in America will feel. If the democrats push bills after bills without republican support, it could very easily cause civil disruption in the country. Those crazy conservatives might try to pull some sort of retaliation on us or the government. So I'm pretty sure the dems are done pushing hard for the year. And that's why were getting all these statements from governors.

I refrained from posting this yesterday so as not to seem like a Grinch, but that is exactly what I thought - that they rescheduled the health care vote to Sunday to in a way cover up the immigration march. You know what proves it? That Obama TAPED a message to the crowd pre-emptively. I think the fact that he was shown on a screen mellowed out the message. Had he never showed his face, I think that the crowd would have gotten more vocal. I'm glad health care reform passed, but we cannot let them off the hook, if anything the pressure needs to be amped up now that the Republicans have publicly commited to not doing anything else. It is the Dems problem how to get CIR passed - they don't have an excuse.

They keep giving us the same old promise... its like we're drowning and screaming for their help and instead of letting us in the ship, they throw us life jacket.
