The Arizona state legislature just approved the toughest anti-immigration bill in the country, giving police the authority to determine people's immigration status based on "reasonable suspicion" or more bluntly put, the right to racially profile immigrants.
Under this bill, any undocumented immigrant "randomly" caught will be charged with misdemeanor. Numerous local organizations here in AZ had already been writing to Gov. Brewer to veto this bill.

Got it done, thanks. Hopefully she vetoes the bill, although they expect she will sign it.

Thank you for the support. We are still in good hopes that she will veto it, maybe with enough support, she could be swayed. The more signatures, the better.
