Outside the Freedom Tower in Downtown Miami on a breezy Thursday, four young people accomplished an incredible journey to Washington DC, receiving a warm welcome home.
Quote:
Actually the Trail of Dreams does not end here. We are here to be with our families. To be back home. To start thinking about the next steps," said Matos.

The four say while they are planning their next moves, they will continue to pressure lawmakers for the passage of the Development Relief in Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act), which would allow undocumented students to pay in-state tuition rates at public colleges and universities, have a pathway to citizenship and halt the deportations of these students and the separation of families.

I've wondered what's next for them and in the same length, us. I may have missed it, but I didn't hear anything about their meeting any government officials when they reached DC. I was expecting the momentum would have ease some compromises...

These guys deserve DreamAct hero medals! I too never heard anything from any senator mentioning those guys though. They made such a journey and no senator brought that fact up. I'm sure representatives and senators heard abouth these guys

I believe I read on their website that a representative of Obama agreed to meet with them, but not Obama himself...I haven't heard if this meeting happened or read anything since that post?
