The measure, which passed on a 28-10 vote as an amendment to the budget, would bar the state from doing business with any company found to break federal laws barring illegal immigrant hiring. It would also toughen penalties for creating or using fake identification documents, and explicitly deny in-state college tuition for illegal immigrants.
Well damn...

I just don't see any progress in immigration. More and More states making there anti-immigration bills, I'm not liking any of these things. We are not looking good. Overall, Congress doesn't want to pass CIR, why? Because it wouldn't benefit businesses paying minimum/below wages to immigrants like they do now.

Are people even calling to ask their senators to pass the Dream Act or to attach it to a defense bill? If it's doesn't pass this year, it won't happen in the next. I've been waiting since 2001 and it's always the same thing. An election year or after elections, then they still do nothing.

So, to those people that say next year, they are just wasting their time. Call Congress to attach the Dream if it won't do as a stand alone bill. It was introduce in 2001 look at us now 2010. 9 years later and still nothing!

More Senate wait, more states make their immigration laws or provisions for such laws. Once people get used to in-state laws, they will not want to vote Yes for CIR. I think that's what Senators are doing. They want states create their individual laws and then dump CIR from agenda. Borders are being secures as I write this. So people will say "Hey, borders are shut. Let's get all illegals out now. Screw CIR." It appears Senate strategy is working. Damn...

The sad thing about this is that out of the 40 seats in the Massachusetts Senate Democrats holds 35 of them.

What's even sadder is that November looks to be going to republicans. Democrats are losing control.
