The Republicans can have Jesus himself show up and say *The DREAM Act is the right thing to do* and then beat the hell out of him and nail him on a cross all over again...Facts and polls matter not to these people, money and extending their pathetic careers do.

Its funny how they claim they are doing what america wants. Most of them who voted for them just voted because they where tired of democrats. Funny how less than 40% of the voters actually keep up with what their senators are doing.

The majority represented in the polls are likely skewed.

If you poll people in Greenwich Village, the majority of people polled will have different views than maybe some Midwestern or Southern town.

Or, only the conservatives are angry enough to go vote, so all these people who support the DREAM Act have no political clout.

You do know Rasmussen has a conservative tilt to their polls right?

Had no idea. Guess that rules it out then.

Poll was likely conducted by surveying individuals all across the US; not a small concentrated homogeneous population. This recent survey disputes our opposition's claim once again that "majority of Americans oppose the dream act". I believe polls have am impact on a senator's stance, although they are not as convincing as their own constituents, whose views they are meant to represent.

I believe the major problem is that although majority of the US population supports the Dream Act, few are willing to put the time and energy required to support it. Meanwhile, our opposition "a small but vocal minority" makes it seem as if constituents are against the legislation. I'm willing to bet that many of those who support us are unwilling to match the grassroot efforts of "Anti" as they could risk being labeled un-American, un-patriotic, traitors, particularly in conservative states.

100% right, Cybore. Latinos and pro-DREAM people either don't vote enough or can't vote enough.

Or if they do vote, it's lower on their list of priorities.

It's a difficult place to be in, but Rasmussen is giving us ammunition.
