Is driving from LA to Vegas with an IDL safe???

hi, planning to take my car to vegas and just wondering if anyone here has some experience driving to vegas coming from LA? What are the things i should worry about and situations i could possible encounter??? Your help will be much appreciated. thanks

I live in LA area and drive to Vegas for business every month.

I've heard that there is a DHS checkpoint around Hoover dam area. All vehicles going on that freeway need to stop. Where exactly is it located at?

If you are not going to Hoover dam area, you don't need to worry.

I only use I-15 straight to Vegas, no more further or less.

Just don´t drive over the speed limit. There are a lot of hidden CHP officers.
