I think this would be struck down, with the exception of the e-verify, but refusing education for the undocumented is against the law....

I hope this will eventually give immigration reform and the Dream Act positive effects.

This has got to be the most anti-immigrant law that has passed, I mean nothing compared to the Arizona's SB1070. I feel bad for all the people who are going to be affected by it, they need to leave the state ASAP.

According to a factsheet presented by Alabama House Republicans, the bill will require law enforcement officers "to attempt to determine the immigration status of a person who they suspect is an unauthorized alien of this country".

The legislation also makes it a criminal offense to provide transport or housing to an illegal immigrant. The state will have to check the citizenship of students and any business that knowingly employs an illegal immigrant will also be penalized.
Wow...this is just another level of pure HATRED.

As long as the GOP are in charge nothing will get better when it comes to immigration. The GOP have no desire to fix the broken system, They just want to appeal to the white vote!!!

I think this will push congress to work on immigration though, hopefully in a way that will benefit us.

The whole issue of immigration is just BEGGING to be overhauled. The calls are at an all time high loud and clear. The system is absolute garbage. Obama's oval office seat is the main obstacle.
