September DREAM Act Push

I respect Durbin for his efforts, but the immigration debate needs to start in congress as soon as possible. These events are a little, I am sorry to say, redundant. Durbin should really pressure for a discussion on the DA and an enforcement strategy a few days after August 2nd.

Yes, I hope Democrats do not rush through the debate. Democrats should take their time, but these events cause a "whatever" response.

Dream Act has to pass this year otherwise it will be very very difficult to bring it up again. Its definitely not going to pass in 2012..that is one thousand percent sure. I really don't think people can wait until 2013...thats very very far away.

Yes, I agree. So, I do not understand why Durbin is organizing these events so "late" in the year. I think the debate on immigration needs to start before September, so legislators can have ample time to discuss the issue IF they have a willingness to fix this problem.
