There is no way Democrats are winning back the house. Even if they do, President O will come up with some new excuses. I miss Ted Kennedy!

Are you guys blind? Under PELOSI the DA PASSED in the house! It was only turned down in the senate which she has no control over. Pelosi by bar is the biggest contributor for it passing in the house. She has the ability to rally votes, and many Repugnants dislike her because of how she ran the house and get things done!
What happened when they lost the majority? NADA. The whole political system pretty much collapsed and contributed to the whole economic turmoil.
Obama is right giving her credit. It was Obama not doing enough in the senate to help Reid/Durbin.

I've had it with most of you. Pelosi passed the DA, Obama has done almost everything he can short of tattooing *I love DREAMERS* on his chest. We never had the 60 votes to beat the filibuster in the senate...the goddamn GOP even filibustered the Defense budget because the DA was attached to it. Short of tagging the DA to Healthcare Reform or the Stimulus package in 2009, Obama hasn't been able to do much to pass the damn thing. So why are all of you still bashing on him?

I understand the frustration...hell, i can't go visit my sweetheart in LA cause of the fucking checkpoint outside of SD...I can't finish college cause I can't afford to transfer to a 4 year like all my other friends can., can't get a job, I can't have a normal social life, i've been in a state of limbo for 20 years...But for you guys to be frustrated enough to fall for "Democrats and Obama don't care about Latinos" shit the GOP has been spewing-that's inexcusable. Why do you think most of the Republicans who supported CIR and the DA in 2007 no longer support it? Are all of you honestly that blind to see that they're playing a well orchestrated game of political risk? Sure they can lose the Latino vote but they knew that if they voted yes they would have been challenged in the primaries by the Tea Party and they would have handed Obama a victory, solidifying the Latino vote for 2012 for him and for the Democrats...It's all a political game for the GOP and if you haven't seen that in the last 3 years you either don't know shit about the state of American political affairs or you are an idiot in general-your pick.

Interestingly, I don't like Obama's approach in general, but I agree with Eddy117. The article above is written from a subtly biased perspective. Obama enacting the DREAM Act? Strong opposition? Bypassing Congress? Setting this up as Obama "needing" Latino voters? None of those are true, and we should be more careful not to fall into the trap of believing it.

This is a classic case of a College student putting off his assignment to do it at the last freakin minute. We've all done it. These people in Washington are no different. This is what happens. Remember the glory days guys when Democrats had Republicans on their knees...both goddamn house and senate in the grip yet couldn't pass DA.
