I am currently a Business Administration (A.A.) major at BMCC. My long term goal is to go into Accounting (A.A.S). I was advised to major in Business instead of Accounting because an A.A.S degree does not fully transfer over to Baruch.

Can anyone confirm this? I am starting to strongly dislike my adviser because I feel that she just wants to quickly dismiss me and doesn't take her time explaining these things which are all new to me. I am forced to just take her word for it... but do not want to risk it.

This should probably be in the Other section of the forum since it doesn't really have much to do with the DA.

Also, why not seek a second opinion? Are there any other advisors that you can ask, or maybe a professor? You should probably contact Baruch too.

The description says "relevant to DREAM Act beneficiaries"... I've seen plenty of school-related topics in this section before.

I AM seeking a second opinion by posting the question in this forum. Who better than other NY Dreamers who may have already completed this step in their education careers.

just call the baruch registration office. check with their website to look over courses that might be relevant to your course. for what i know, most core classes does transfer over but its the nitty gritty major courses that might not transfer over. if anything call baruch registar and ask for assistance.

Hey if you find out let me know! I'm planning on going to college for Business Administration too, but I don't know yet. This is my senior year and at the most I will achieve a 3.0 GPA. I screwed up 2 years and a half of high school, what SAT or ACT score do you guys think I will need to get admitted to a college with 70% admission rate. I know there's more factors to admission, but let me know how can improve, or what you think.
