The key point to take away from this article is - all USCIS is concerned about are blatant frauds. So everyone take a deep breath and then release a sigh of relief.

Depends on if the "Fake SSN" belongs to anyone!

If there is any applicant, notario, lawyer or other legal entity trying to fake documentation to enable a beneficiary to gain the benefit fraudulently not only will USCIS be involved but ICE as well.

Yay! I've waited too long and worked way too hard for anyone to try to take advantage of this and put us in even worse light than we already are in the eyes of the conservatives/Republicans.

Supreme Court has recently (2008 or 2009) declared that it is only fraud if it belongs to someone (so using an unbound number is fine) and you know that it does belong to someone. If you just typed in 062-15-2155 and you have no idea if it belongs to anyone then it's fine. If you saw someone's SSN card and copied the number on it then that's fraud. Still I personally would not use any documents with a fake SSN on them.
