Hi DREAM Supporter,
We didn't think we'd have another chance to pass the DREAM Act this year but it turns out we do. Last month the STEM bill passed in the house; 245 votes to 139. Stem is an immigration bill that would grant green cards for up to 55,000 foreign-born, US-trained graduates every year. The bill is now up for a vote in the Senate, if we attach the DREAM Act to it we could potentially get the DREAM Act this year.
When DACA was announced we were all very excited but the reality is that DACA is just temporary? DACA is good but wouldn't you rather have a permanent fix that comes with a greencard?
In order to get DREAM attached we need Senator Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, and Senator Durbin, the author of the DREAM Act to push to attach it. Please join us in making a call to these two great leaders and asking them to take a final stand for the DREAM Act!

Call Senator Reid @ 202-224-3542
Call Senator Durbin @ 202-224-2152

Sample Script: "Hi, I was calling to ask that the Senator attach the DREAM Act to the Stem bill and put it up for a vote. We've been waiting over 10-years for DREAM to pass and need a permanent fix. Now is our chance. Thanks."

After you call please help us spread the word. Sign the petition and spread the graphic to your friends.

Special thanks to Mohammad Abdollahi

The STEM act as passed by the house eliminates the 55,000 visas reserved for the diversity lottery. This is not immigration reform, this is Republicans pitting one class of immigrants against another, as if there's something magic and inviolate about that quota number. If you give in to this ridiculous proposal, how would you like it if they put you to the 'back of the line', behind the 23-year wait for Philippine LPR siblings?

It always saddens me when these kinds of things happen. I qualify for STEM, yet I still don't support it. I understand your desperation, so I'm not going to say anything bad, but I can't support you on this.

Don't you have to be on like a F-1 visa to qualify?

I'm not a Dreamer. I was on F-1, now on H-1B.

Don't even try. There is absolutely no chance to get any type of immigration bill passed this year. They are still working on the fiscal cliff bill.
