I hate words like "owe" in a sentence. I feel like it has negative connotation especially in issues such as immigration. Yes, the "immigrant" community helped propel Obama for a second term. The article adressed that the President knows this and is going to work even more for our cause.

Instead of congratulating the man we come off entitled and demanding. There was no way in hell immigration reform would've passed during his first term with an economy he was left with. Now things are getting better and it has a better chance, but don't come off rude and demand reform the day after winning the election. He said he will work on our behalf more rigorously, and I think there is more truth to that during his second term. After all, we were given a slight glimpse of whats to come with DACA.

Chill!

Obama doesn't owe us anything, all citizens are supposed to vote. However, DA/CIR would be nice.

Totally agree with VMD. What if right wingers were to come trolling on our site here and read the title of the post? Words like those just serve to ignite their hatred for us. We are not looking for entitlements, we are looking for equality.

All Obama owes them is a shout out here and there during his press conferences.

No chance of that happening. Why would he do that when his party can still use the Latinos and point at the republicans as the bad guys (if nothing gets done in the next 4 years) who obstructed and voted against Immigration Reform. The democrats are on our side but they don't mind keeping Immigration Reform around and using it as a weapon (a very deadly weapon) against republicans in future elections.

They do use it as a weapon honestly, if Romney wasn't so against immigration he would of had a better chance and could even possibly won.. If Obama didn't issue DACA I can almost guarantee he would of lost.. A lot of dreamers fought for Obama including myself, I got over 15 close family and friends to go out and vote Obama.. I have no doubt in my mind that other dreamers have done the same
