That's exactly what I thought. Now that that's out of the way, hopefully they bring up the Dream Act. Then again, there's the whole Gun Control issue too so we'll have to see.

haha we wish Dream Act or CIR was next, Gun Control will eat up a chunk of time and as soon as thats over, Debt ceiling will be next. After all of that is over, I don't see why they wouldn't bring up DA/CIR.

Nobody has really won by the passage of this bill but the point is they have averted the fiscal cliff, which means they will be able to focus on some other issues until the crisis emerges again. Surely gun legislation and CIR are next on deck!! There's no way immigration is on the "back burner" any longer. I see committee meetings on CIR this month for sure. It's going to pass in the Senate first and then House. This is what I think it will look like..Very strong border security provision, Conditional green cards for all DACA beneficiaries (Dream Act basically), DACA like status for the rest of undocumented immigrants..if Democrats bend their backs, they might pull through a path towards residency for everybody as well. They'll make them pay fines and learn english and all that good stuff. We could potentially be declared permanent residents by end of March, mid february if we hustle hard.

I pray to God that your idea becomes a reality......

With this ever growing debt I'm not sure if I'll want to live in this country anymore, lol.

Debt ceiling is next and there won't be a dream act i can tell you that it will be either some kind of reform for everyone or no one

they have groups and can do more than one thing at once. For ex biden is covering gun control and he wont finish untll end of january so there is still about a full month for a dream act bill to come up and the congressmen to take it seriously. I pray to God it does
