I am in North California. Thus, if anyone is from North California, congrats.! that is the coolest part of the state . Anyway, we can phone each other and also ask local radio stations/newpaper/tv stations to mention/support the Dream Act. I had been trying to get my Latino local radio station to say something about the Dream Act. Nothing so far, but what if they get 10 or 15 calls? If you want a local friendly radio station, like NPR to say something and you have the number you can post it here and we can call. It won't reach the whole nation but it will reach a lot of people.

do you guys know el piolin? he seems to be a good person to get in touch with. like somebody said, we can call each other and plan something good, i think that we still have time. My idea was to arrange a meeting with Pioling, like we could call him and tell him to have us in his show so we can talk about our stories, if some of us cant go, we can always participate through the phone...lol i mean, its confidential and a lot of people listen to him, and he was named one of the most influential persons in the united states, and i've heard hes cool...so i dont see why he cant help us. and since he is influential, he could hook us up with other important people like Oprah maybe (is that show from L.A.? ) or someone else that can help us.

if we ALL call him and tell him that we need his help, he may help us...we can arrange that meeting tomorrow....what do u guys think? please give ideas or something...WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING, cuz look, a lot of people did great thing for the amnesty , and nothing happened, now imagine that no one is doing something for the DREAM ACT? well, i shouldnt say that, that was rude from me cause there's ppl out there doing something, but i think that its only a handful of ppl whos actually working...so please please,,,,i beg u! i really want this thing to pass!

Yeah but how much can Piolin really help?
He already talks about immigration and the Dream Act and sorry but the majority of his listeners don't speak English and would NEVER call.. They are too afraid. If we are 20 years old and many on here are afraid to call - imagine your parents trying to call - yeah. Most wouldn't ..

Maybe latino 96.3 in L.A. which is what the "second generation" latinos and actual DREAMers that would call listen to..

Public radio has been kind to us in the past. The listeners are mostly, above 50 years old, very well educated, talented and well off. They are usually the same group that constantly watches c-span. This group is limited only a couple of thousands in the a nation of 300,000,000. Their opinions are also more valuable. They can persuade their friends and family more than radio and TV personalities because (1) they are smart and two didn't you read their description? who does not pay attention to this type of people. Public radio also covers bigger areas than regular stations 'cause they are public an only a couple of thousands actually listen to dry news and classical music. If we get a public station to run something about us, we get a lot of people. More important there is the non-profit corporation that produces all the national news. If we get a spot on those news, we get the whole country. Tell me what you think about it.
