I'm under 245(I) but I was born in Mexico so I can't apply for this

Visa overstay or EWI doesn't matter as long as you are under 245i!

The visa overstay/EWI issue only deals with marriage to a US citizen!

And also you can't be born from the following countries "Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam."
