May be a stupid question but could I fly using my EAD?

Reason I ask is because, I have a friend's bachelor party set in Vegas. I have not yet received my state ID (applied for it as soon as I could after DACA approval) and don't take the driver's road test till next Monday. Even if I pass the test, I may not get my ID in time for the trip. The bachelor party is that following weekend.

Thanks in advance for anyone's input.

i believe you can. it is a government issued ID. make sure that the name on your place ticket matches your name on your EAD. also if you have a valid passport, i would take that as well just in case they give you a hard time about your EAD.

You don't need your EAD, just use your passport. However, you should also bring your EAD with you in case you encounter immigration official. I flew many times with just my passport, never had any problem. Good luck and have fun

Found it easier to bump this instead of creating a new thread.

I am flying for the first time this Saturday (scared like a mutha..) and I have my new CA ID, but my question is: should we be carrying our EAD as well even if it's a domestic flight considering we are close to immigration officials at a port of entry like LAX?

As long as you are not making an international flight or any flight or flight connection outside of US, there would be no immigration check! Your passport is good to go! Of course an ID is good too! No need to worry! Even if you been stop by immigration (out of 0.000001 chance) you are relief by DACA, and they cant do anything to you!

ID/license should be perfectly fine. If you want to be on the safe side, you can carry your approval letter. But don't shove that in their face unless ICE comes up to you or something (highly unlikely)

Don't be nervous guys. Our nervous days are over (thank Obama)

Yes ^ And if you are under 18, you can use a high school ID. They can't ask for anything else if you're underage. At 18+, just an EAD is fine or just a passport.
