so here's the story...

i tried and tried to apply for a loan. and i keep on getting denied with cosigner and everything. i also tried to apply for credit cards in wells fargo, chase and citibank and i also got denied.

i had capital one before but i dont owe any money now and i closed it.

im trying to apply for a salliemae loan for a private nursing school because community college here in california is impossible to get in.

please help me. i dont know what to do. i dont know why i keep getting denied. is it because of my credit score? (altho i really doubt it)

i got approve with DACA and my SS says its onl y valid for working. and its going to expire next year. i figured i should go ahead and go to a private school and get my degree so when my working permit expires i have a degree.

help me. anybody here that has a salliemae loan?

You should check your credit score and report first.

If you have a thin file (Short history, AAOA, Credit Limit and Etc.) You will likely get turned down by any lender. If they approve you, you might need a co-signer with GREAT credit score and BIG APR.

Try your bank that you have your checking account with.

i tried my bank which is bank of america, unfortunately they dont have any student loan programs. i also tried wells fargo but my private school does not sponsor wells fargo.

what can i do to hike up my credit score if no banks would let me get a credit card?

also i tried my mom to be a co signer i believe she has a great credit score but also got denied.

It doesn't cost money to look up your Credit Report. By law, you're allowed to get one free Credit Report every year from all 3 Credit Bureaus.

You can go to annualcreditreport.com to get your reports.

As it was mentioned before, if you don't have a long credit history (less than 2 years) then it will be difficult to get loans, even with a good score.

Also having fraudulent activity in your report could affect your score significantly. You don't know if someone else is using your social. There was actually a dreamer on this website who found out that their "new social" had already been used to get credit. So it is essential to get a copy of all your reports to make sure everything is yours and that all the information is correct.

That's awful. You will need to get those things out of your credit history; they could be hindering you with your student loan application.

Print out your report. You have to file a dispute with each of the credit bureaus. There is information on how to do this on your credit report.

There is no real time frame on how long it could take. But it took that guy a month to get it off their credit report. Good Luck
