Remember earlier this year when House Republicans said they would deal with immigration reform once the primaries were over? Well, according to The Wall Street Journal, House Speaker John Boehner told a group of donors that they'll pass bills addressing the issue this summer.

At a fundraiser in Las Vegas last month, Boehner told a gorup that he was "hellbent on getting this done this year," as several participants confirmed to the Journal's Laura Meckler. Another member of the House, Virginia Rep. Bob Goodlatte, told a business group in Silicon Valley that he was optimistic about getting something done. Goodlatte suggested that the House would consider five to seven bills that an aide to another representative said would be ready to go in June or July.

Their bills covered a broad spectrum, with the end-game (legalization) being possible only after several triggers have been met; each subject to review by a committee or (southern) border state Governor approvals.

Their bills will take effect once the border is secured; which we'll be legal by 5045. They think their strategy of pandering to Hispanics will pay off.... We shall see.

So far Republicans have promised they will do nothing to help us and have stood by their word. Democrats say they want to but can't because of the Republicans. The only way to call their bluff is to have a fully Democrat congress and white house (again) and see.

Thank God we got our DACA so we can get our SS# and driver's license and more or less live our lives without relying on the goodwill of these bozos.
