So, yes, the WH is "undecided." However an E.O. is forthcoming. I just think we may need to dim our expectations.

Quote:
WASHINGTON — A senior White House adviser says President Barack Obama will make a decision by the end of the summer on how to use his authority to address immigrants living illegally in the U.S.

Dan Pfeiffer called reports that Obama might delay the deportation of up to 5 million immigrants "uninformed speculation." He said Obama is waiting for recommendations from Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Secretary Jeh Johnson before taking action, but any actions would be within "the confines of the law."

He said Obama has no choice but to act on his own because of Congress' "failure to fix the immigration system" and to provide extra money to deal with Central American children crossing the U.S-Mexico border.

Pfeiffer spoke Sunday on ABC News' "This Week."

I'm suspicious of the fact that they are going on record to say that they have NOT received any recommendations for the deportation review/admin.relief from DHS and DOJ. Was the public lied to about this taking place between March-June and being put on hold or was it not done at all? Surely, I am not the only one seeing through this...it's very nerve-racking.

Of course they are lying. The only thing they are undecided on at this point is timing. The WH knows which groups they will help. And they have known that all along. That's why I honestly think it will be parents of USC children. Guttierez and company have been emphasizing the impact of deportations on family units for the last year.

Waiting until the end of August recess is about helping vulnerable Dems in tough Senate races.

Considering by law it's required to have a 60-day notice...what do you know, right at election time. I often feel desensitized to political shenanigans, but this has been played too many times.

On other news, the word "shit" is okay to say on television. The word "republican" has been added to the curse words list.

The WH is starting to realize the buzz they've started. I think they're just issuing rumors like these to calm the public down. The people that will be included logically will be subject to tough residency and background check rules. Most likely it will included older Dreamers, parents of USCs, and parents of DACA beneficaries.

The original Dream Act (like 14 years ago) was supposed to give dreamers green cards after they finished college or the military. It was a win/win.
