In Reversal, Trump Indicates To Hispanic Leaders Openness To Legalization For Immigrants
Ahead of a major immigration speech this week, Donald Trump suggested he is open to figuring out a humane and efficient manner to deal with undocumented immigrants already in the country.

There goes his base of racists...

Not to bring down your post but your source is bad:
  1. It is buzzfeed
  2. Trump never indicates a legalization path
  3. He just suggested a humane way to deport people that is all
  4. He will not lose his racist people
  5. Once gain buzzfeed is not a credible source
  6. The article is all opinions to make Trump look bad

According to this other source :

Quote:
Trump is to hold a news conference and rally in Colorado next Thursday and they said they expect details will come then.
Quote:
"I think on Thursday we are going to have a plan that every Latino Democratic or Republican can be proud of as a very realistic, compassionate way of solving the problem," said Jacob Monty, an immigration attorney from Houston who also chairs the Latino-Jewis Alliance.
Quote:
There was some discussion after the meeting that Trump was going to back a legalization plan for the 11 million undocumented, but none of those interviewed would verify that.
It is all speculation, and who know what Trump will say next time.

Remember he just said he will get 94% of the black vote.

Well, the positive I gather from this development is that no matter what happens. It seems that the immigrant vote, Hispanic, Asian, or whatever is slowly tipping the balance. No candidate can win without a sizable amount of support.

I think it is too late for Trump to try this.

Certainly his based will be slightly disappointed but let's face it. Trump can do whatever and they will still support him. For his supporters it is just about opposing Democrats not about policy. Trump supporters also believe in Trump, if Trump announced path to citizenship, I have no doubt people who follow him would have no choice but to swallow it.

Note, I cannot stand Republican ideology, not only immigration wise, but their policies and believes are from the dark ages.

Politics in this country...

This is his way of "pivoting" after all the hateful things he said. He is trying to be a more palpable candidate for a general audience. Supposedly, he was going to win by increasing his support of white "hidden" voters. He really believes that the majority of Latino/Black voters are as ignorant as the racist base he appeals to that votes against its own self-interest.

Does not matter what he thinks. He is not even in Congress.

Hillary will be the winner.
