Here's my take on this as someone with a background in Accounting. First of all, Trump is very stupid not to have released his tax return and hence allowed his opponent to keep hammering him with the issue. He is just delaying the inevitable. He's going to have to release the tax returns soon. That said, please understand that if he had committed tax evasion, he would have been in jail right now because at his level, it would be considered tax evasion of massive proportions. Also, I'm sure as he is saying he gets audited by the IRS every year. It seems like he has been AVOIDING taxes legally and why not, that's how the tax code is. There's a big difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. Rich people hire big accountants and professionals to do this and if its all done legally, there's nothing wrong. Don't we all get our taxes done somewhere and we expect that person to get us all the credits right? There's different types of tax credits and rules for each individual based on type of income and all sorts of characteristics. But I do believe he has made a big mistake by delaying the release of the tax returns. I personally think the reason why he has been withholding is because his income may not be as much as he has been claiming and he may be sustaining a lot of losses (Remember he keeps saying he is a GREAT businessman, meaning he makes a lot of money) Taxes are just not part of the equation but watch how Hillary campaign will take advantage of this and absolutely make it clear to everyone that this guy is not paying taxes. Politics is one crazy crazy thing. Trump absolutely deserves this for being an asshole that he is to all of us but at the end of the day, please know these facts. And that's quite a shitty title for this thread. You should first analyze the tax return before saying something idiotic like that. Just because someone doesn't have a tax due doesn't mean he hasn't paid taxes. That's like me saying, you have never paid taxes because you always get refunds every year. There's two things NOBODY on this planet can run away from, taxes and death.

Just because you don't comprehend something doesn't mean its a meltdown. I'm talking from experience. Everything I've said is correct. Take a chill pill. Trump's not going to win. That $900M+ loss that was declared by Trump on his 1995 tax return filing seems to be substantial and it offsets his income going forward. If that 1995 tax return contains fraud or anything fishy, then there's a big freakin deal but I don't think that's the case otherwise the IRS would have caught it by now as he is most likely audited all the time. The main reason why he has been withholding his returns is because he doesn't want to show people how much debt or losses he has sustained since he claims to be the best businessman out there.

The mystery of how a DACA kid can be a Republican is solving itself through this display of moral obliviousness.

If only you read what I have to say calmly without telling me I should be Democrat because supposedly you think I am black, this would have made an amazing and intellectually enriching conversation. Maybe you would learn a thing or two about a unique concept, in this case taxation. Don't you ever think big this way? Anyway, I think someone with an Accounting/Tax background would engage in a good conversation over this. I don't really care about Trump or supporting him. I'm just analyzing and looking at the issue in this case. Now I am very much interested in reading Trump's 1995 tax return to see how he reported that whopping $900M + loss because it certainly seems substantial but also I'd like to know why the Internal Revenue Service hasn't taken any action if that loss was taken to manipulate future tax liabilities.

This is all way overblown but this is politics so overblown shit is what they do. I hope hillary keeps playing her ads using quotes of donald trump in it. In one she had him talking about women and etc, in another he used the quote about shooting someone on mainstreet and not losing votes. Hillary just needs to keep gut punching the fat man with his own words.
