Some welcome news after reading this dribble I suppose:
https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/...t-three-months

Derbyshire asked Coulter about the odds of Kris Kobach — the Kansas secretary of state known for his ferocious opposition to immigration and also for his support of various voter-suppression schemes — being appointed deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Coulter responded, “He doesn’t want to take it.” Derbyshire pushed her: “Do you have that authoritatively?” She responded, “Yes. And I’ve threatened to dig up his grave.” At the end of the brief interview, Coulter lamented, “If Kobach isn’t running things … there’s no second term, there’s no country.”

Kris Kobach is the Kansas secretary of state, but also as a lawyer for the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) the legal arm of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which was group founded by white nationalist John Tanton. Kobach and IRLI are responsible for drafting some of America’s harshest anti-immigrant laws and is a nativist champion.

I think it's more Kobach's ambition and not settling for a 'lesser' post. If his DHS plan 'leak' wasn't a publicity stunt, Trump may have seen it as a flaw.

We just need to keep our fingers crossed on Sessions not getting confirmation and we should be business as usual.

Sessions is definitely in the firing squad. I saw an article listing 8 cabinet positions the democrats would hold hearings for. Sessions was included, that racist ventriloquist puppet.

Senate rules haven't been set for the next congress. The next congress begins January 3

No but that doesn't mean they can't delay confirmation and air the cabinet poisitions dirty laundry. Republican senators might think twice about appointing someone like session and tillerson.

For some reason I thought Kobach would refuse the job if he did not like the terms. It sort of makes sense that he said nothing after his second interview. I hope this is true and that he will not change his mind.

In my opinion I think whatever he is doing now is perhaps more lucrative than being deputy of a gov't agency. He must have other businesses on the side.

Good news if this is true!

Also, Ann Coulter being disappointed brings me such joy. That ugly and skinny skank can go back to being completely irrelevant.
