I see other cities doing the same. Most likely L.A. is going to follow.

On the contrary, It will make the administration think more than twice about it as the backlash of harming kids would be the greatest of all time.

This may be controversial but here is something that I thought about. By these sanctuary cities trying to protect us it may send a wrong message to the people. That message is that he city wants to protect criminals because trump said he is going after criminals only. We all are not criminals.

What if, these cities say hey we will help you trump but you need to tell us what is your definition of a criminal. And based on that definition we will decide if we will help you.

Thoughts?

Sanctuary cities will not help criminals, and by criminals I mean non immigration related offenses. The problem is that people don't know the difference between a crime and a civil offense. specially the trump folks.

I think the sanctuary cities are just labeling everyone under the same immigration status. It doesn't mean that an undocumented individual with a crime will get a pardon on a crime. That individual is still treated the same way in the criminal system.

Why wouldn't a sanctuary city not tell the feds hey this man is undocumented and he just shot up a bank. Here ICE deport him. Why not do this?

And leave every other undocumented person who did not committed a crime alone.

Correct, and hand him over to ICE. This is exactly what Trump wants.

Washington State did it too. They should all do to him what they did to Obama. Sue the hell out of him.

I have no knowledge of how these things work, but I live in a sanctuary city, and I have a relative who committed a crime, he got locked up and turned in to ICE, also I worked with a guy who hit his girlfriend, she sue him, and even before the court battles were done ICE went to his house and got him. All that happened in a sanctuary city.
