That is just inciting Trump

I highly doubt now with talk of Flynn cooperating with the FBI that a small article on DACA is on Trump's radar.

Why not just a simple change of mind?

Basically trump is an idiot who didnt understand politics early on the game when he made those "rhetorical" remarks

I think Trump couldn't end DACA even if he wanted to without some form of relief. Isn't there almost 900,000 DACA recipients right now? If DACA were terminated and we were all put in removal proceedings then Trump would add 900,000 cases to the already backlogged immigration courts.

According to Syracuse, there's 600,000 pending immigration cases with an average of 690 days to resolve a case (http://trac.syr.edu/phptools/immigration/court_backlog/)

If you add the 900,000 DACA cases (remember that we are all afforded due process), then it may roughly take 1,725 days to resolve a case. So you're talking 4.7 years. This is not even including all of the other cases that are being brought up because of increased interior enforcement.

I know that Obama deported 2 million people in 8 years, but remember that he changed the definition of deportation/removal to include turn aways at the border and those that qualified for expedited removal. Those people didn't qualify for due process. Even though Trump loosened the criteria for those who would qualify for expedited removal, a lot of the people that he's going to pick up will qualify for due process. We already see this given that arrests are up but deportations are down

I think we might be in decent shape all things considered.

Cancelling DACA would not automatically put people in removal proceedings, so lets not scare people. It would go back to the way it was before.

Dreamers speak English and that works on TV, because it is easier to connect with people. Someone who has been here for 30 years and doesn't even try to speak English gets a lot less sympathy. I know that is brutal to say, but it is the truth. People are more compassionate when they can see a commonality with another person. It could be religion, race, culture, region of the country that eliminates the feeling of "Otherness". Most Dreamers do not feel foreign to most Americans, they feel like Americans.

Waving Mexican flags and signs in Spanish does not persuade . Waving American flags and chanting in English does persuade.

Well dont forget the Trump administration has ended the Haiti TPS and extended their stay for 6 months but after that time they are expected to leave. I would think the same would happen with DACA. If it ended, we would given some time to pack our bags and go. ICE would have a field day

DACA is good for economy, good for Social Security, good for taxes, good for revenue. Trump is a businessman, he's not stupid.
