Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) plan on Thursday to introduce a new version of a bill granting legal status and a path to citizenship to undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as children.

The proposal comes as the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which provides temporary relief from deportation to those immigrants, who are known as "Dreamers," faces a legal challenge from Texas and nine other states.

Is been almost 17 years since the original dream act was first introduced and till this day we were only 5 democratic votes from makin it a reality back in 2010. Sad to say that was the closest it had ever gotten. Had the democrats not put as much effort into the failure of Obamacare, we would have most likely had legal status today.

If dreamact passed in 2010 most of us would have been us citizens by now

Have lawful employment for 3 years well, it's easier for us because we have DACA eads

The 2017 Dream Act

1.- Raises the age of entry up to before turning 18
2.- It does not have an upper age cap
3.- People can gain permanent residency by means of school, years of work, or military
4.- Forgives misdemeanors and only disqualifies people with felonies
5.- Requires medical, English, and civic tests
6.- Provides a path to citizenship

-Univision

There is no way this passes. Then again, you start negotiations like this and then you move towards the middle.
