President Trump reportedly asked aides for "a way out" regarding his decision on whether to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

An "exasperated" Trump made the request of aides last week, with a key court deadline for DACA looming, The New York Times reported Monday.

Chief of staff John Kelly reportedly gathered a group of advisers to help Trump decide to end the program with a six-month delay, a decision Politico first reported on Sunday night.

Members of Congress have since promised to pass legislation to protect those impacted by the end of the program before the six-month window ends.

The White House has said that an announcement about the program will come Tuesday, though the Times reported that White House aides were saying as late as Monday night that Trump could still change his mind.

We are going to be fine ! The house majority leader believes they can pass legislation in 6 months . At this point it's up to democrats to come to the table and get this done!

Mr. Kelly, who is broadly supportive of the program, has been searching for a way to stave off the threat of the lawsuits. He was also motivated to create a compromise after hearing reports of young DACA immigrants assisting in disaster recovery efforts during two trips to Texas last week, according to an administration official.

“The federal government has the cellphone and home address of every DACA recipient,” said Todd Schulte, president of FWD.us, a progressive immigration reform group that has urged the president to retain the program.

“They grew up here, they work at nearly every major company in America, serve in the military and many are working on recovery efforts in Texas,” he added. “If DACA is repealed and no permanent legislation passed, they will all be fired and our government will begin the large-scale deportation of people raised in the United States, using information they volunteered to the government with the promise it would never be used against them or their families.”

Hey man, I am here with all of you.

I think 2face might be right on this one. I think Sessions will be giving the announcement because he is giving a legal reply to the Paxton lawsuit. For us, it sucks because we hate Sessions; all those times that fucking elf attacked the Dream Act in Congress. The best news I expect from Sessions is that there will be a 6 month delay.

Congress will need to act.

Yeah, I mean even if it is Sessions giving the announcement . . . I cannot picture him saying all of a sudden, "All of you are fucked now." I mean this would have been given day one if Sessions were so influential over Trump? What happened? Did Sessions grow some balls, rid himself of his fucking elf voice, and speak loud enough so Trump could hear his hateful advice?

I think we will still be good.
