One of the main concerns people have in regards to getting a DACA fix executed by Congress and signed off by the Orange Man the closer we get to March is how people may start expiring after March 5th and before the new relief gets technically implemented.... forms developed, cases reviewed, biometrics completed, heath exam passed, etc. That set up and implementation phase, I imagine, can take quite a while.

Do you guys think some kind of temporary extension of current DACA and EAD benefits can be granted to:
1. Allow for the implementation of a permanent DACA fix (like DA)?
2. Prevent people's DACA benefits from expiring in that transitional time frame?

Do you think it can be done in an automatic fashion without the need to have current DACA beneficiaries submit applications or further documentation? Has anything like that happened in the past with nonDACA programs?

What if no DACA fix is implemented by March 5th and Trump does want to extend the deadline... considering application processing times, can that even be done in a way where people expiring in those months after March are automatically granted extensions and where a whole application phase is bypassed?

No, this is highly unlikely!! This is the government we're talking about.

If some type of DA passes congress, we'll most likely have to apply for it via a new form or an updated version of the current I-485 form??? If that is the case, it will most likely provide a temporary EAD while the form is being fully reviewed and approved.

That is the current process for AOS, so it will probably be very similar to the current process.
